Rules of Conduct
The following Rules of Conduct shall apply to all MakeUtah Incubator Space users and Licensees (“Resident(s)”). Violation of these rules can result in termination of MakeUtah Incubator Space Privileges. These Rules of Conduct may change from time to time at MakeUtah’s discretion. Notice will be provided of any rule changes and all users of MakeUtah Incubator Space will be deemed to have knowledge of any rule changes after notice has been given.
1. Access to MakeUtah
a. Only authorized Members will be granted access to MakeUtah unless otherwise invited.
b. If you are a Resident without a key card, you must sign in at the front desk.
c. Invited guests:
i. Invited guests to MakeUtah must agree to all MakeUtah rules and policies.
ii. Invited guests are required to sign in before entering the premises.
d. Key cards are not assignable– you CANNOT share your key card with anyone else.
e. Everyone is responsible for their own key cards.
f. No children are allowed unsupervised in any MakeUtah space.
2. Common Spaces
a. All members are required to maintain the cleanliness of the common spaces, if you create a mess, clean it up!
b. No food is allowed on the furniture in the common spaces other than the kitchen area.
c. No feet on the furniture, sleeping on the furniture, or sleeping in the building at all!
f. No moving of furniture or desks without permission from a MakeUtah representative.
3. Internet
a. The internet may not be used to access or download prohibited materials or services including but not limited to: Illegal activities such as requesting or providing services on the dark web, downloading pornography or pirated media, torrenting in any form or other prohibited internet activities as defined in doTerra AUP are not allowed and will result in the immediate removal of the Licensee from the premises and a permanent ban from all MakeUtah activities. The internet is a shared resource with other members and doTerra employees, any usage that disrupts others ability to use the WiFi or internet in general will be made known to the licensee when observed. Repeat offenses, willful disruption, or DDoS activity will result in termination of your agreement and immediate removal from the property.
4. Kitchen Area
a. Residents are responsible for their own food and clean up in kitchen areas.
b. All food will be removed from refrigerators every Friday by 8pm, MakeUtah will not be responsible for the cost of removed food.
5. Parking
a. All members agree to follow Parking Rules displayed in the parking lot. DO NOT park in any reserved spot.
b. Members will park on the East side of the building and enter through the access door on the northeast corner of building C utilizing their key card.
c. Members will avoid parking in the West lot on a regular basis and never park in the first two rows closest to the premises except under extenuating circumstances.
d. At times it will be required that all vehicles be removed from the parking lot for special events.
Notice will be provided as soon as it is known to us.
6. Storage
a. No illicit items of any kind are allowed to be on the premises at any time
b. Storage in the open area for Licensee items that are larger than the tabletop, may be allowed only
with the permission of MakeUtah staff, at its sole discretion.
c. Storage in large cubicles and office space is allowed within reason.
7. Recreation Area
a. Pickleball, basketball, and other recreation areas access is allowed with respect to the grounds and others passing by and available ONLY for Resident and Access Members or holders of a Guest Pass.
i. doTerra employees and their guests always have first rights to the recreation areas.
8. Other Shared Resources
a. Other shared resources inside MakeUtah include: conference rooms, TV’s, whiteboards, monitors, keyboards, 3-D printers, paper printers, display area, and more.
i. Resources should be treated with respect, courtesy, frugality, and are subject to individual rules in order to protect MakeUtah, its partners, and members so that the resource can be enjoyed and utilized by all.
ii. Resources are on a first-come-first-serve basis and must be reserved at the front desk or in the MakeUtah app
iii. In order to keep resources available for all, they are free to use only to an extent, at which point there will be usage charges associated with each resource. See MakeUtah app for details.
b. Other reservable shared resources that are part of doTerra campus include: cafe, large meeting rooms, lobbies, outdoor meeting areas and more.
i. These resources are available on a limited basis and secondary to any needs by doTerra and must be requested manually through a MakeUtah representative.
c. Other shared resources at various partner locations include: various tools, equipment, workspace, education classes, mentoring, events, VC access, impact fund access, and more.
i. These resources are in various stages of availability – please contact a MakeUtah representative directly for access to these awesome resources.
9. Personal Behavior
a. Here at MakeUtah, we expect all individuals to act professionally, and dress appropriately. Treat others with courtesy and respect the same as you would expect.
b. To maintain a professional atmosphere we have a sober campus. Use, possession, and distribution of drugs or alcohol in any form is prohibited, and will terminate this agreement immediately with no refund.
i. If an individual arrives under the influence of any prohibited substance or their conduct is unbecoming of a professional setting they will be asked to leave. Repeat offenses are grounds
for termination of the agreement immediately with no refund.
